Abs Workout

Abs Workout

Medicine Ball Pass - Add this ab blaster to your current routine to shake things up!
Hold a medicine ball in your left hand at chest level as you lie on the floor, knees bent.
Simultaneously lift your shoulders off the floor, lift your left leg up, extend your left hand and pass the ball under your left leg to your right hand. Once it's in your right hand, lower your torso and left leg. Next, lift your right leg as you raise your upper body and pass the ball under your right leg to your left hand. Alternate sides. Keep both feet off the floor for the set.
Oblique Cable Crunch - Throw in a twist to carve up your obliques!
- Grasp a rope handle attached to a high cable pulley and kneel about 2 feet from the weight stack.

- Turn your body about 45 degrees to the left so that you're at an angle to the cable apparatus.

- Position your hands down on top of your head and keep your arms locked in this position throughout the exercise. Your knees should be bent at close to a 90-degree angle, and your hips should create an angle just beyond 90 degrees between your torso and thighs.
- Inhale and hold your breath as you pull down against the resistance, flexing and twisting your spine by contracting your abdominals and obliques. Attempt to bring your right elbow to your left knee.

- Hold this position for a second as you forcefully exhale and contract your abs and obliques.

- Slowly return to the start position, resisting the weight with your abs and obliques.

- Pause for a moment, then inhale and repeat for repetitions.

How to Burn Abdominal Fat

Bodybuilding - How to Burn Abdominal Fat

Burn the Fat
The best way to slim down in the middle is to do plenty of cardiovascular exercise. Some good examples of this are:

walking
jogging
swimming
aerobics
bicycling

...and high-activity sports like racquetball, tennis and basketball. Anything that brings your heart rate to its training zone and keeps it there for at least twenty minutes conditions your heart and burns fat.
As you lose subcutaneous fat, your skin will become more taut. As the fat within your muscles decreases, you will appear more toned and less flabby. The number one thing you need to think about is the cardio. Five times a week!
The most important thing you need to do is to program yourself mentally. Don't use a scale to measure your progress. If you work out with weights, you may gain a few pounds while losing inches around the waist. Instead, use that pair of jeans that you want to fit into again, or a pair that fits you now. You'll see a slight change every few weeks, and that should give you confidence.

Abs stimulator

Abs Stimulators - Do They Work ?

Day one
I applied that belt over my abs. The instant you turn it on, there is this very annoying feeling. The only word I can come up with is that it feels like my abs were being electrocuted. As lame as that explanation may be, it's the only one I can come up with. So I turn it off, look at it closely, and come up with the conclusion that what I felt is normal with the product.
I put it on, for 15 minutes. During the 15 minutes, it feels very annoying. They stated that you can put it on and go on about your day. After my 15 minutes were up, I took of the belt and I was truly amazed at what I found. My abs felt like I just did nothing for 15 minutes. Every time I work my abs, I feel the work I have done. With this belt, I felt nothing. I decide that I will go on with the process, and that it may be just a part of how it works.
Day two
I felt no soreness this morning; I usually do when I do my abs. Again, I felt that it was part of the process. I placed the belt in the exact same place. To make sure it was in the same place I had marked the center of the area with a marker (as bad as it may sound, I still did it). I find that I cannot get used to the feeling of the belt. Some things you can get used to, I don't see how I can get used to this. I go about my business while having the belt on, keeping a close eye to my watch. I take it off, and again felt nothing.
Fast forward... Day 7
Been doing the same thing, seen no progress, but its only been a week.
Fast forward... Day 14
No progress, I miss my Ab workouts. But I must go on, for the sack of science. The AB belt is still annoying as ever. I have decided that this will be my last week.
Last day
Having had no success with the belt, I decided to place it away. The belt like most other things you see on TV, are never as good as they say.
I will have to say that electronic Ab products do not work as good as they say, in my opinion they don't work at all. I have been to the chiropractor before, and there they have muscle stimulators. These products are meant for relieving muscles. Ab belts follow the same exact method, release electricity into the muscle to make it contract. Except they twist words, and say that it will tone and build muscles.

Abs...

Do you know where your Abs are ?

Deliberately crunch down on the ab muscles for about a second with each rep. You will not be able to perform as many repetitions but the ones that you do will be much more effective. If you have access to elbow slings and an overhead bar, hanging knee raises are another great way to work the abs. The number of repetitions that you do is not as important as the quality of repetitions. Each set of exercises should bring you to an honest burn. It is important that you use some judgment here. You should be able to distinguish between a muscular burn and back pain or pain from any other source. As long as you know the difference, don’t cheat yourself, go for a least a mild burn before stopping. Wait for a minuet or so and complete a second set, followed by rest and then a third set. Unlike larger muscle groups, the abs recover well and can be trained every other day. If you have access to an ab machine then by all means include it in your workout. It is important that you vary your routine to avoid acclimatization to any one particular program. One of my favorite ab workouts is two sets of hanging knee raises followed with one set of incline crunches.

I want you to know that the plan above works and that if done properly, you will see results. It is important to consider however that abs are only one part of the equation that is your entire physique. In coming articles we will address other parts of the body. For now however, you have enough information to give you abs that you can be proud of. What are you waiting for?
